Turkish journalist Levent Tüzemen has shared details of a conversation he had with Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek regarding the future of Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen.
One of the key questions heading into the summer transfer window is where the former African Footballer of the Year will continue his career.
Osimhen enjoyed another outstanding campaign in Turkey, directly contributing to 30 goals (22 goals and eight assists) in 33 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray.
His consistent performances have placed him on the radar of several top European clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Tüzemen revealed that when he asked Özbek about Osimhen’s situation, the club president made it clear that the striker is not for sale.
"I asked Dursun Özbek about Osimhen; he said, 'No matter what offer comes in, I won't sell him. We're aiming for our 27th championship," he said on the Libero TV YouTube channel, via habersarikirmizi.
"They said their goal is to reach the top 8 in Europe, or even the semi-finals. The team will be built accordingly."
Osimhen joined The Lions on a permanent deal last summer, and has a contract with the Istanbul club until the end of the 2028-29 season.
