Ivan Toney has been spotted by fans in Liverpool amid rumours of a potential summer move to Everton.
The former Brentford striker moved to Al-Ahli in 2024 and has thrived in the Saudi Pro League, scoring 41 goals in 47 games across all competitions this season.
The 30-year-old would have hoped to have caught Thomas Tuchel’s eye ahead of this summer’s World Cup, but the German has favoured players in Europe.
The Toffees are set to sign a striker this summer, with neither Thierno Barry nor Beto managing to lock down a consistent position in the starting XI.
Everton transfer chiefs will be aware that Toney’s wages will make for a difficult deal, however, and would likely require him to take a pay cut.

Football Insider exclusively revealed last month that Everton are interested in Toney ahead of this summer, with the player open to the move.
The 30-year-old is the Saudi Pro League’s top scorer and is under contract until 2028 at Al-Ahli, who will not be keen to lose him on the cheap.
But should the England international push for the move, the Jeddah-based club may be forced to open the door to his departure.
Toney enjoyed two superb seasons in the Premier League for Brentford, scoring 12 goals in the 2021-22 season, before netting 20 in the following campaign.
2023 saw the forward banned from football for eight months after he was caught betting – a period that likely squandered his chances of a move up the table.
Nevertheless, the 30-year-old has continued to impress since moving to Saudi Arabia, although an eighth England cap may require a return to the Premier League.

Toney has scored an astonishing 71 goals in 91 games for Al-Ahli without any notice from Tuchel, and Everton could provide him the platform that he needs.
X user Louis Parky shared a picture of the striker on an apparent Liverpool-bound train on Thursday, with the post captioned: “Ivan Toney on the way to Liverpool for a meeting with David Moyes”.
The Evertonfcpodcast then shared a video of Toney at Liverpool Lime Street Station getting into a taxi.
Al-Ahli have missed out on the Saudi Pro League, with their two remaining games not enough to catch Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
Toney’s team won the Asian Champions League for the second consecutive season last month, however, beating Japanese side Machida Zelvia 1-0 in the final.
Asked in March about a potential return to the Premier League, the former Bee said: “Never say never. I have goals I want to achieve here first, the club have signed me for a long period of time.
