Reports in Italy claim that Juventus want to bring in Tottenham and England full-back Djed Spence in the event that Andrea Cambiaso leaves this summer, and Bianconeri sporting director Marco Ottolini could be the key.

Despite a massively disappointing end to the 2025-26 season, which resulted in the Old Lady missing out on Champions League qualification, the club are hoping to provide Luciano Spalletti with a new and improved squad for the 2026-27 campaign.

Reports indicate that Juventus are progressing with a potential deal for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and that they want Alexander Sorloth, Brahim Diaz and perhaps Randal Kolo Muani to strengthen their attack as well.

This will only be possible if Juventus are able to move on some of their current first-team stars first. Gleison Bremer has been lined with an exit given that he has a €58m release clause in his contract, while Cambiaso could potentially be sacrificed as well according to various reports over the last few weeks.

SportMediaset reports that if Cambiaso is to leave, Juventus will need to bring in a new full-back as well and that they have identified Tottenham’s Spence as a potential candidate.

Spence is a player well known to Juventus sporting director Ottolini, who brought the England international over to Serie A to play for Genoa in the second half of the 2023-24 season.

Like Cambiaso, Spence is equally capable of playing at either right or left-back, he is already familiar with Serie A football and with Tottenham having recently signed Andrew Robertson and with Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro still on the club’s books, opportunities for Spence in North London may be reduced next season.
