Lautaro Martinez’s agent assures even if Barcelona, Arsenal or anyone else were to call, his reply would be the same: ‘He is happy at Inter and does not want to move.’

The striker was at the forefront of the celebrations for their historic Double, winning both the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia, going on an open top bus parade around the city on Sunday.

He is also on track to be crowned Capocannoniere for this campaign, further consolidating his status as the best centre-forward in Italian football.

This attracted plenty of interest from abroad, but just as in the past, the Argentina international has just one thing on his mind.

“I have come to realise that Lautaro is admired and would be wanted by all the best teams in the world, but he belongs to Inter, so there is no reason for anyone to worry,” agent Alejandro Camano told FCInterNews.

“He is happy in Milan, he’s got the World Cup this summer, then the objective next season is to win the Champions League with Inter.”

In the past, there was only ever one club that seemed genuinely as if it could tempt Lautaro Martinez into leaving San Siro, and that was Barcelona.

Now that Robert Lewandowski is leaving and they require a new striker, what would happen if the Blaugrana called him again?

“Any call I would receive, from any club in the world, I would listen with respect, but the response would be the same. Lautaro is happy at Inter, he said he doesn’t want to move, so there is nothing more to add.”

Is the Argentina international staying to target the Champions League and maybe even the Ballon d’Or?

“No, he is staying because he loves Inter. It’s not about personal success, those come only as a result of the team trophies.”

Camano also represents Lazio defender Mario Gila, who has been linked with several clubs including Inter and Milan.

“He has one year left on his contract with Lazio, but nobody has called me over a renewal. I cannot renew his contract by myself. It all depends on them. If they want him to stay, good, otherwise we’ll have to talk about it.”
