Lekjaa visits Morocco camp in New Jersey ahead of World Cup match

Royal Moroccan Football Federation President Fouzi Lekjaa visited the Moroccan national team’s training camp in New Jersey as the Atlas Lions continued preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The visit comes as Morocco intensifies its preparations for the tournament being hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

During his visit, Lekjaa met with members of the Moroccan delegation and reviewed the team’s preparations and training conditions ahead of its upcoming fixtures.

The federation president also used the occasion to reaffirm his support for the coaching staff and players, emphasizing the confidence placed in the national team following its achievements in recent years, most notably its historic run to the semifinals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The visit reflects the federation’s commitment to providing the national team with the necessary conditions to succeed at the tournament and continue the long-term sporting project that has helped establish Morocco among the world’s leading football nations.

Morocco will open its World Cup campaign against Brazil national football team on Friday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. local time (11 p.m. Morocco time).
