Man United's interest in Felix Nmecha explained as amazing stats emerge from Germany's World Cup win
Manchester United are among the clubs interested in a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha this summer.
Nmecha, 25, began his career with Manchester City, but has caught the eye since moving to the Bundesliga in 2021.
The former England youth international has starred at the World Cup for Germany and was in fine form again on Saturday as Julian Nagelsmann's side beat Ivory Coast 2-1.
Nmecha provided the assist for Deniz Undav's second goal and winner, which came after Franck Kessie had put the African nation ahead in the first half.
Man United are keen to reinforce their midfield this summer following the exit of Casemiro, with Atalanta's Ederson set to join in a £35million deal.
The Red Devils are also keen on Mateus Fernandes, with the West Ham star set to leave for a fee in the region of £80m.
Football Insider revealed this week that Man United are interested in Nmecha, as his performances on the world stage continue to draw attention.
The midfielder scored against Curacao last week, and was brilliant again as Germany stole it late against Ivory Coast.
The Hamburg-born talent signed a contract extension to 2030 in March and will not come cheap, but his stats may well suggest that he would be worth it.
Nmecha's defining moment on Saturday was his assist for Undav's winner, which came when he punched a superb ball through the lines to allow the striker the opportunity.

But his all-round game was superb, too. The 25-year-old created two big chances, made two interceptions and six recoveries, won one free kick and a massive 10 duels.
Man United have been tracking Nmecha for some time, and were reportedly considering a move last summer.
A bid never materialised, however, and his performances at the World Cup have seen his value soar.

But there are still points of contention when it comes to Nmecha, who has suffered several big injuries in recent years and has reportedly been involved in off-pitch issues.
The midfielder is clearly a huge talent, however, and Man United will have been watching on Saturday with their eyebrows raised.
