It's been an active start to the summer window for United, with a deal reportedly agreed to bring Atalanta midfielder Ederson to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are also pushing to sign West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes after holding talks, with the Portuguese star keen on a move to the club.
It's clear that United are prioritising bringing in new midfielders during the summer transfer window, and then attention could turn to strengthening other positions.
The Red Devils could also look to improve their academy setup, with a host of young players seemingly switching between Premier League clubs this summer.
Manchester United have discussed making a move for the World Cup star
According to a report from Roundtable, Manchester United are trying to sign Manchester City youngster David Eze in the summer transfer window.
The report claims that Eze and his family were recently invited for a tour around their Carrington training ground, with United pushing to secure his signature.
The 16-year-old has plenty of suitors and is regarded as one of the best talents in England, but United are hoping that they've done enough to win the race.
At the age of 16, Eze is unlikely to come into the first team setup at United if he does join, but it's a big boost for their academy options.
There appears to be a big push for United to strengthen their academy, especially since Ineos arrived.
Since Ineos took over at United, there has been a clear emphasis on signing young talent from around the world. Sekou Kone, Diego Leon, Chido Obi, Ayden Heaven, and Cristian Orozoco are prime examples of signings they've made recently.
Young defender Harley Emsden-James also joined the club last summer from Southampton, while United already have a host of young stars in their academy.
Bringing in young talent from around the world for cheap fees is a smart way of either making money in the future or developing players to play for the senior squad.
If United get their development right, they could be playing in the first team in a few years or sold for huge profits.
