Manchester United ended 2025/26 in ideal fashion, securing third in the Premier League and a return to the Champions League under Michael Carrick.
The club have since shown faith in the former midfielder, handing him a permanent contract and transitioning him from interim to full-time in the dugout at Old Trafford.
Now, the real work starts as Carrick must ensure that Man United continue to perform well in the league, while balancing the Champions League, FA Cup, and EFL Cup. This summer will be crucial to all of that, as a full pre-season will allow players to find some fitness, understand deeper tactical ideas, and introduce some fresh faces into the squad.

Manchester United have five pre-season fixtures lined up for this summer, touring parts of Scandinavia before one final fixture in Dublin, Ireland.
