Spanish sports daily Marca has described Moroccan winger Gessime Yassine as one of the Atlas Lions’ emerging attacking gems ahead of the World Cup, highlighting his dribbling, creativity and ability to unsettle defenses in the final third.
The newspaper said the Strasbourg player offers Morocco a rare profile, capable of breaking tight defensive blocks and changing the rhythm of matches, qualities that have earned him a place in Mohamed Ouahbi’s final squad.
Yassine’s rise follows a standout run with Morocco’s U20 side, which won the U20 World Cup, where he contributed two goals and three assists.
His performances helped secure a move from Dunkerque to Strasbourg in January for a reported €7 million, the biggest sale in Dunkerque’s history. He had scored eight goals in 57 appearances for the club.
