Morocco heads into the 2026 World Cup as the Arab world’s most valuable national team, with a squad worth nearly €500 million, according to Transfermarkt data.
The Atlas Lions are valued at €498 million, almost double the value of Algeria’s squad and more than four times that of Egypt’s. The figures reflect differences in player development, investment and the ability to produce or attract talent playing at the highest level.
Morocco’s rise has been driven by years of investment in football and the recruitment of dual-nationality players. Achraf Hakimi is the team’s most valuable player at €80 million, while several other stars, including Ayoub Bouaddi, Ismael Saibari, Abde Ezzalzouli, Brahim Diaz and Bilal El Khannouss, also carry high market values.
Algeria ranks as the second most valuable Arab team at €256 million, led by a generation of Europe-based players. Egypt comes third with a squad worth €116 million, with Omar Marmoush now valued higher than Mohamed Salah.
The numbers drop sharply after the top three. Tunisia’s squad is valued at around €70 million, while Saudi Arabia stands at €40 million despite its regular World Cup appearances.
Jordan, Iraq and Qatar all enter the tournament with squads valued at around €20 million. Jordan’s Mousa Al-Tamari alone makes up almost half of his country’s total market value as the team prepares for its first World Cup appearance.
