Pyramids FC striker Fiston Mayele has been included in the final 26-man squad along with Newcastle United's Yoanne Wisse and West Ham United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Kaizer Chiefs winger Glody Lilepo does not make the cut, making his last appearance for the national side in 2023 after his reported fall-out with Desabre.
Desabre stated that it was not hard picking the final squad for the big tournament.
"The squad has picked itself because we’ve all been together now for some four years. The World Cup is no forum for ‌experimenting or development," he said on Monday, as per Flashscore.
