Championship side Charlton Athletic have confirmed their end-of-season academy retained list in a statement published on their official website.
Listed as a Nigerian on the club's website, Lanre Olatunji will move on to pastures new, with the Addicks confirming that he will depart upon the expiry of his contract on June 30, 2026.
A product of Trinity School, the 2007-born defender joined Charlton Athletic at U12 level and progressed through the academy ranks before signing a scholarship deal in the summer of 2024.
Olatunji, who previously represented Croydon District, earned his move to the Addicks following a successful trial.
A centre-back by trade, he leaves the London-based club without making a first-team appearance.
Meanwhile, Charlton's U18s are set to face Wigan Athletic in the Professional Development League playoff final on Friday, May 15 at The Valley, which will also serve as a venue for the 2026 Unity Cup featuring Nigeria, Zimbabwe, India and Jamaica.
Notably, Nigeria internationals Ademola Lookman, Semi Ajayi and Joe Aribo are all graduates of Charlton's academy.
