Nwaneri Open To Joining Former Champions League Title Winners In Summer

German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are “making another attempt” to sign Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri this summer, according to Sky Sport Deutschland.

The Arsenal prospect has spent the latter half of the campaign on loan at Marseille following a lack of opportunities with the Gunners.

The German outlet suggests that Dortmund have enquired about the 19-year-old’s circumstances. Nwaneri is said to be “open” to joining the club this summer, although a permanent transfer is considered unlikely due to the “high transfer fee” expected.

The midfielder remains tied to the Gunners until 2030. Arranging a loan deal is also believed to be challenging for Dortmund, though the Bundesliga side maintain their interest in the Arsenal star.

Nwaneri played in nine league games for Marseille, scoring twice. Prior to his move to France, the youngster had made six cameo appearances for Arsenal in the Premier League this season.
