Carlo Ancelotti has named his World Cup squad for the Brazilian national team, including two Serie A players, Gleison Bremer and Wesley, as well as Neymar.
Italian coach Ancelotti has named his 26-man squad list for the upcoming World Cup.
The Italian tactician has included two Serie A players in his team, both defenders: Juventus centre-back Bremer and Roma’s full-back Wesley.
Ancelotti’s side are among the frontrunners to lift the trophy as the tournament travels to the United States of America, Canada and Mexico for its 2026 edition.
One of the main talking points prior to the announcement was whether or not former Barcelona and PSG winger Neymar would be selected. Currently playing for his boyhood club Santos in Brazil, the winger’s selection was highly contentious. In the end, Ancelotti decided to include the 34-year-old in the squad.
Alex Sandro, Danilo, Marquinhos and Paquetà are among the ex-Serie A stars included in the Brazilian team for the World Cup.
Ancelotti’s side have been included in Group C alongside Morocco, Haiti and Scotland.
