Brentford have published their academy retained and released list, with the status of three players of Nigerian descent now decided.
At B team level, the Bees have confirmed that former Republic of Ireland youth international Val Adedokun is in discussions with the club over a new contract.
The 23-year-old is yet to make his senior debut for Brentford, though he has been named in matchday squads on seven occasions, including five in the Premier League.
In search of game time, the left-back was loaned out to Hungarian side Diósgyőri VTK and League Two club Cheltenham Town.
His progress was further hampered last season by a long-term injury.
Super Eagles centre-back Benjamin Fredrick also endured an injury-disrupted campaign, with his most recent competitive appearance for club and country coming in the final of the 2026 World Cup African playoffs against the Democratic Republic of Congo in November 2025.
The defender spent the 2025–26 season on loan at Belgian side FCV Dender EH, where he made 15 appearances across all competitions, including 14 in the Jupiler Pro League and one in the Croky Cup.
The former Flying Eagles player has been retained by Brentford and remains under contract until June 30, 2028, with a club option for the 2028-2029 season.
Elsewhere, defender Gregory Asemokhai has been released, with his contract set to expire at the end of the month.
