All 20 clubs that competed in the English top flight last season have now submitted their retained lists to the Premier League, with eight youngsters of Nigerian descent among those offered new contracts ahead of the expiration of their current deals on 30 June 2026.
At Arsenal, left-back Josh Ogunnaike is among those the club are keen to keep within their development system, with the 18-year-old having been offered fresh terms.
Although he is yet to make his senior debut for the Premier League champions, he was regularly involved in first-team training throughout the 2025–26 campaign.
Brentford have also moved to secure Val Adedokun, offering the youngster new terms despite an injury-hit season.
Elsewhere, after featuring 25 times across the U18 Premier League and FA Youth Cup last term, Norway U18 international Sebastian Ademola has entered discussions with Brighton & Hove Albion over a contract extension.
Crystal Palace, meanwhile, have offered new deals to Chuks Okoli and Sean Somade to remain at Selhurst Park next season.
Ademide Akarakiri, Chibuzo Nwoko and Majid Balogun have also been handed fresh contracts by Everton, Fulham and West Ham United respectively.
