Moroccan international midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has reportedly emerged as a player of interest for Real Madrid as the Spanish giants continue evaluating options to strengthen their midfield in the coming years.
According to Spanish sports daily Marca, the young midfielder, who currently plays for Lille OSC, has attracted attention from the Madrid-based club following his rapid development at both club and international level.
Bouaddi has established himself as one of the most promising young talents in European football, impressing with his performances in Ligue 1 and, more recently, with the Moroccan national team during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
His display against Brazil national football team particularly drew praise, as the young midfielder showcased composure, tactical intelligence, and technical quality against some of the world’s most experienced players.
Despite the growing interest in Bouaddi, reports indicate that he is not currently Real Madrid’s primary midfield target. The club is said to view Enzo Fernández of Chelsea FC as its preferred option for reinforcing the center of the pitch, reportedly in line with the wishes of manager José Mourinho.
Speculation surrounding Fernández’s future has intensified in recent months after the Argentine international publicly expressed his admiration for Madrid, describing the Spanish capital as a city that reminds him of Buenos Aires. His appearance at the Madrid Open tennis tournament also fueled rumors linking him with a potential move to Spain.
Nevertheless, Chelsea are not expected to part with one of their key players easily, meaning any potential transfer would likely involve complex negotiations and a substantial financial commitment.
Against this backdrop, Bouaddi remains a player closely monitored by Real Madrid’s recruitment department. His continued progress with Lille and Morocco, combined with his performances on the World Cup stage, have significantly enhanced his reputation and placed him among the most highly regarded young midfielders in European football.
While no formal approach has been reported, the Moroccan international’s name is increasingly being mentioned alongside some of Europe’s most sought-after emerging talents as clubs begin planning for the future.
