Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that four Ikorodu City stars have been named in the Super Eagles' provisional squad for the 2026 Unity Cup.

Eight days ago, allnigeriasoccer.com broke the news that three Ikorodu City stars had caught the attention of Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle during his scouting mission to the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, where the Lagos-based side secured victory over Wikki Tourists.

Following Chelle's recommendation, the Nigeria Football Federation instructed goalkeeper Michael Atata, versatile midfielder Tosin Oyedokun and forward Joseph Arumala to report to the British High Commission in Abuja for biometric capture as part of the travel documentation process.

A fourth, yet-to-be-identified Ikorodu City player also accompanied the trio to Abuja.

However, as it stands, Chelle is planning to select only three players from Ikorodu City in his final squad, meaning one member of the quartet faces the possibility of missing out on the travelling party to London on May 22, 2026.

With the Nigeria Premier Football League set to conclude on May 24, the players involved are likely to miss Ikorodu City's high-profile clash against league leaders Enugu Rangers.

The 2026 Unity Cup will feature defending champions Nigeria alongside Zimbabwe, India and Jamaica.
