Ruben Dias is set to consider a move to Real Madrid this summer as they line up an offer for his services.
Dias' future has been the subject of intense rumours over the last few weeks following an inconsistent season at Man City.
Real Madrid have already swooped to sign his former Citizens teammate Bernardo Silva this summer.
New boss Jose Mourinho is believed to have Dias on his list of potential centre-back additions this summer as he looks to overhaul the Los Blancos' backline.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Dias will consider joining the Spanish giants, but City do not want to lose him this summer.
He recently insisted that his full focus is on Portugal right now after being asked about links to Real by a reporter at the World Cup.
Dias signed a new contract extension at the Etihad Stadium last summer to tie his future down until 2029, so his services will not come cheap.
Dias has lost his place in Portugal's starting eleven after struggling for fitness and form throughout last term.
He made 24 Premier League starts in 2025-26, which was his second-lowest total across six seasons at the club so far.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "It does seem that there is some interest from Real Madrid in Dias, and the lure of a move to Madrid would be difficult to ignore for any player, not just him.
"It’s probably going to be a saga that will drag out into the summer, but Manchester City do not want to lose Dias.
"If Madrid get any indication that he could be prized away from the Etihad, they will try and bring him to the Spanish capital."
Reijnders is another City star who faces an uncertain future at the club following a tough 2025-26 campaign.
He impressed in the early parts of last term after joining from AC Milan, but ended the season out of the starting eleven and only featured twice in their last eight league games.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Enzo Maresca wants to keep Reijnders around when he becomes their new manager this summer.
The midfielder has the chance to prove his quality at the World Cup after starting in the Netherlands' first game last week.
