Moroccan international Ismaël Saibari was named man of the match after leading the Atlas Lions to a precious victory against Scotland (1-0), Friday, on matchday 2 of Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The PSV Eindhoven attacking midfielder scored the only goal of the match in the 2nd minute of play, scoring Morocco’s fastest goal in the World Cup finals.
Already a scorer in the draw against Brazil (1-1) on Matchday 1, Saibari has confirmed his excellent form by bringing his total to two goals in two matches in this World Cup.
Thanks to this success, Morocco is edging closer to qualifying for the next round. They will now get ready for their third and final group match against Haiti on June 24 in Atlanta, Georgia.
