Sandro Tonali and Yoane Wissa respond as Crysencio Summerville drops West Ham transfer hint in social media interaction
Crysencio Summerville's future looks to be away from West Ham, but it remains to be seen which club signs the forward.
Summerville is one of a handful of players who are expected to depart the London Stadium following West Ham's relegation from the Premier League.
Tottenham, Aston Villa and AC Milan could all be possible destinations for the 24-year-old.
West Ham could demand over £30million to sell Summerville, who emerged during the second half of the season as a key player under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Whilst Nuno has committed his future to the London club, their financial situation means player sales will be needed this summer.
Summerville's latest social media activity means a new club may have now joined the race for his signature.
Newcastle are looking to bring in extra firepower to their attack following the loss of Anthony Gordon to Barcelona.
And despite having never played together, Summerville has already had interaction with Magpies striker Will Osula.
Osula posted a "thank you" message to Newcastle on his Instagram, alongside pictures of the season just gone.
Summerville liked the post and responded, "Skiii" alongside a brown love heart emoji.
Newcastle teammates Sandro Tonali and Yoane Wissa, who have uncertain futures on Tyneside this summer, were also among those to like the post.
Sources told Football Insider that there is "huge demand" for Summerville, and West Ham would struggle to keep him at the club in the Championship.
Newcastle certainly have the financial power to afford to sign Summerville this summer, and Eddie Howe could offer him regular game time.
Gordon's departure means there is an open space on the left flank for a player like Summerville to take, whilst Harvey Barnes has emerged as a transfer target for Aston Villa.
Newcastle had previously registered their interest in the Netherlands international when he was at Leeds, and before he moved to West Ham for £25m in 2024.
If Howe does want to bring Summerville to St James' Park, then this window seems like the ideal moment for that to happen.
