Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Nuno Santos is just two matches away from achieving one of the things he joined the club for.

Santos made the big decision to leave Europe for the PSL, and it has been a difficult campaign for the Tshwane giants, who are on the verge of losing their long-standing dominance of the Betway Premiership, unless there is a catastrophic collapse from second-placed Orlando Pirates.

Check Out: Why Sundowns Could Risk Cupido

What's still on the table for Sundowns, which they can control, is the CAF Champions League title. After all the challenges they've faced, Sundowns have an opportunity to end the season with the biggest prize in club football on the continent.

"It feels very good. That was one of the main reasons for me to come to Mamelodi Sundowns: to win the Champions League. Being in the final is part of that process, so it's very good," Santos told the media at Chloorkop ahead of this weekend's first leg clash against Moroccan outfit AS FAR.

"It's very competitive. We have played in four or five different countries, and every game is different. Every opponent has its own style of play, but at the same time, it makes us grow. It's a competition that is very good for the players, and hopefully we can get it this year."

"I think we need to move on from that. There is nothing we can do to change what happened before. Our focus now is on the first leg of the Champions League. That's the most important thing for us now."
