With just two games left of the 2025/26 season, Manchester United are guaranteed to finish in the top four for the first time since the 2022/23 campaign.
It has been a season of rejuvenation for the Red Devils since Michael Carrick took charge following Ruben Amorim's sacking in January.
With the club back in Europe's premier club competition, several personnel changes are expected with players making their way in and out of the doors at Old Trafford.
Despite Kobbie Mainoo's new contract extension, Casemiro confirmed he will be leaving the club at the end of the season, while the likes of Mason Mount and Manuel Ugarte face uncertain futures as well.
According to The Sun, there are seven midfielders on the Red Devils' shortlist, with several names based in the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest's Elliott Anderson has been on Man United's radar for some time, with the England midfielder impressing since his move to Forest in 2024.
Anderson's performances this season have earned him his maiden call-up to the England national team, and he is likely to make Thomas Tuchel's final 2026 World Cup squad.
Brighton and Cameroon midfielder Carlos Baleba's name has also come up, while Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaménii could also leave the Spanish side following his recent spat with teammate Federico Valverde.
The Frenchman was reportedly on Man United's radar in 2021, but the club opted to sign Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane instead, while Cristiano Ronaldo also returned that season.
