Lois Openda is likely to leave Juventus this summer and the striker could become a Premier League player.
Sources have told Football Insider that Everton have been offered the chance to sign Openda this summer, whilst the striker has also been linked with moves to Leeds and Coventry.
A deal could either be a loan-to-buy or a permanent transfer, with Openda not part of Juventus' plans for next season.
Openda's contract does not expire at Juventus until 2030, and the Italian club are set to demand around £40million, the same amount they paid RB Leipzig.
Everton are in need of a new number nine this summer, with both Beto and Thierno Barry so far proving not good enough to push the Toffees into the European places.
With Openda a potential arrival on Merseyside, or elsewhere in the Premier League this summer, Football Insider tells you all you need to know about the player.
Born in Belgium, Openda has appeared 33 times for his country, but his form at Juventus over the past season meant he missed out on a place at the World Cup.
Starting his career at Club Brugge, the 26-year-old has since been a prolific striker in spells at Vitesse, Lens and RB Leipzig.
During his time at Lens, Openda broke the record for the fastest hat-trick in Ligue 1 history when he scored three times in four minutes and 30 seconds against Clermont Foot.
Openda earned his move to Juventus after becoming one of only five players in Europe's top five leagues to record more than 50 goals and 15 assists between 2022 and 2025.
After finding the back of the net only once in Serie A in the 2025-26 season, Openda now needs a fresh start to reignite his career.
Sources have told Football Insider that Openda was open to joining Leeds, but he now has multiple other options this summer.
Standing at 5ft 9in, Openda is not a target man known for holding the ball up and bringing other players into the game.
Openda has explosive pace, and can stretch defences with his runs in-behind, and be a beneficial player for teams playing counter-attacking football.
Rather than tracking back, Openda is known to press from the front and put pressure on defenders inside their own half.
Surprisingly, Openda has never taken a penalty in his senior career, so his ability to score from the spot is unknown.
It remains to be seen whether a Premier League club takes a chance on Openda, who has proven in the past that he has the quality to be a successful addition to any side.
