Queens Park Rangers have taken Brightlingsea Regent right-back Idreess Namisi on trial, sources have told Football Insider.
The 19-year-old impressed in the Isthmian North League last season, and the R's are now ready to take a closer look at him this summer.
The defender has already spent time on trial at Blackburn Rovers, Barnsley and Kidderminster Harriers within the last year.
QPR are now the latest Championship club to call the youngster in to be assessed, as he looks to make the step into the professional game.
Namisi made 41 appearances in the eighth tier of English football last term, and has emerged on the radars of clubs in the EFL.
QPR have handed him his latest chance to impress, with the youngster hopeful that he can earn a deal at Loftus Road.
QPR saw their 2025-26 campaign end in disappointing fashion, as a four-game losing run consigned them to another bottom-half finish in the Championship.
The West London club had little to shout about throughout the campaign, but are targeting a fresh start under boss Julien Stephan this summer.
A busy summer of business is expected for them, and they have already given Namisi the chance to prove himself.
The Brightlingsea man will take part in pre-season training with the first-team squad, allowing Stephan and his staff to see if he is up to the required level.
Namisi's trial with Blackburn saw him turn out twice in Premier League 2, and QPR also see him as a young player who potentially has a bright future ahead.
Football Insider revealed back in April that Wolves, Bournemouth and Sunderland are all keeping tabs on QPR striker Rumarn Burrell.
The 25-year-old struck 10 goals in his debut Championship campaign last term, and also added three assists for his teammates.
His form at Loftus Road has seen him emerge on the radar of Premier League clubs, and the R's may have a battle on their hands to keep hold of him this summer.
Stephan will be looking to build the team around the Jamaica international next term, but he may have that chance taken away from him if the chasing pack get their way.
