Ipswich Town and West Ham are among a number of clubs eyeing a move for San Diego FC defender Manu Duah, sources have told Football Insider.
The 21-year-old centre-back has caught the eye of the Premier League new boys and the relegated big guns, as well as several Ligue 1 sides, after impressing with the MLS club.
West Ham and Ipswich have both been running the rule over the defender this year.
He has featured 17 times for San Diego so far in their 2026 campaign, while they sit 10th in the MLS Western Conference as it stands.
Ipswich are looking to bolster their defensive options following promotion to the Premier League, while West Ham need a new centre-back to lead their Championship promotion charge.
Duah could be on the move to English football this summer after emerging as one of the most highly-rated young centre-backs in the USA.
The 21-year-old earned a maiden call-up to the Ghana national team last month, but was denied the chance to debut internationally as San Diego refused to release him outside of an official FIFA window.
Duah was born in Kumasi, Ghana, but began his journey into professional football with the University of California side in 2024.
After impressing throughout his freshman year for the college's Gauchos side, he was selected with the number one pick in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft by San Diego.
He made his MLS debut last June and featured 22 times in all competitions in his first season with the club to help them finish top of the Western Conference.
They were knocked out of the MLS Cup play-offs by Vancouver at the semi-final stage, but Duah's reputation looks set to earn him a move away this summer.
The Hammers are not only looking for short-term fixes this summer, with a clear focus still remaining on bolstering their youth ranks in search of long-term success.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that West Ham are keen on signing Kelly, who recently became the youngest player to ever appear in a competitive fixture for Derry City.
Kelly, 15, is an international at under-17 level for Northern Ireland, and is regarded as one of the brightest talents on those shores as it s
Aston Villa, Brighton and Bournemouth are each also interested in adding Kelly to their academy ranks.
