Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has reportedly been offered to four-time Campeonato Brasileiro Série A champions Vasco da Gama as uncertainty continues to surround his future at Scottish champions Celtic.
The Nigerian international joined Celtic as a free agent in September 2025 after mutually terminating his contract with Spanish club Sevilla.
Despite facing fitness challenges during his spell in Scotland, Iheanacho went on to play a significant role in Celtic's successful title defence.
The Nigerian International delivered several important performances throughout the campaign, including a dramatic stoppage-time penalty against Motherwell that kept Celtic's title ambitions alive heading into the final day of the season.
The Hoops eventually secured the Scottish Premiership crown with a decisive victory over Hearts in front of their home supporters.
Iheanacho's contributions proved crucial as Celtic completed a domestic double, with the former Manchester City forward scoring nine goals in 24 appearances across all competitions during the campaign.
However, his long-term future at Celtic Park remains unresolved. Although the club reportedly possesses an option to extend his contract beyond the current deal, no final decision has been made regarding his stay.
According to reports from Brazilian television channel Atenção Vascaínos, as cited by The Scottish Sun, Iheanacho was recently offered to Vasco da Gama as the club explores options to strengthen its attacking department ahead of the new season.
The report further stated that discussions failed to progress, with the Brazilian outfit unconvinced about pursuing a move for the Nigerian striker at this stage.
The development leaves Iheanacho facing an uncertain summer as he awaits clarity over his next career move.
The experienced forward is expected to continue working on his fitness while hoping to persuade Celtic to activate their option and extend his stay with the Scottish champions.
