Zimbabwe midfielder Marshall Munetsi says the Warriors are eager to measure themselves against the Super Eagles, Completesports.com reports.
The Warriors will face Éric Chelle’s side in the first semi-final of the 2026 Unity Cup at the Valley, London on Tuesday, 26 May.
It will mark Zimbabwe’s first international fixture on English soil.
Munetsi stated that the team is excited about the challenge of taking on the three-time African champions.
The Paris FC star further said that the Unity Cup will help prepare the team for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
“We have some big games coming up, the first one is against Nigeria which everyone is looking forward to,” Munetsi told Zimbabwe Football Association official website.

“We have some new guys coming in, some fresh faces. It’s a good opportunity for us to know each other. Obviously these two games are important, but the one we are looking forward to is the AFCON qualifiers that are coming up.”
Munetsi last featured for the Warriors in October last year, and missed the AFCON 2025 finals due to injury before falling out with former coach Marian Marinica.
The 30-year-old is delighted to reunite with his teammates and has urged the new players in camp to seize the opportunity and display their talent on the international stage.
“I am excited to be back. It has been a long time, and it is always a dream to play for the national team,” added Munetsi.
“Right now, we have a number of new players, and they just have to play their normal game and showcase their abilities because that is only way how they can succeed.
“I also think it is important to assist the new guys because I’m one of the senior players in the team. So, it is good to know the young faces. I use to watch some of them play in Europe, this is an opportunity to know them better.”
The Warriors are currently camped in Birmingham and will move to London on Sunday ahead of the Unity Cup opener against the Super Eagles.
