FIFA has appointed Uzbek referee Ilgiz Tantashev to officiate Morocco’s World Cup group match against Scotland on Friday, June 19, at Boston Stadium.
Tantashev will be assisted by compatriots Andrey Tsapenko and Timur Gaynullin, while Jordan’s Adham Makhadmeh has been named fourth official. Mohammad Alkalaf, also from Jordan, will serve as reserve assistant referee.
Morocco enter the Group C match still chasing their first win of the tournament after holding Brazil to a 1-1 draw in their opening game. Ismael Saibari scored for the Atlas Lions, who delivered a disciplined performance against one of the group favorites.
