Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has appealed to Ghanaians to continue backing the Black Stars as the national team prepares to begin its 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.The Black Stars are currently based in Providence, Rhode Island, where they are completing the final phase of preparations before travelling to Toronto for their opening Group L match against Panama on June 17.Following their arrival from Virginia on Thursday evening, the team is expected to combine training sessions with a series of community engagement programmes in the coming days.Issahaku urged supporters at home and abroad to remain behind the team as they seek to make the nation proud on football's biggest stage."My message to Ghanaians is just that I want to tell them to keep supporting us and keep praying for us.
We'll be here working hard to make them proud."Ghana's 26-man squad includes captain Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Iaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo and goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi as they prepare for a demanding group-stage campaign.The Black Stars face Panama in Toronto before travelling to Boston to play England on June 23.
They will then round off their Group L fixtures against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
