Rangers fans could potentially witness a monumental season from Youssef Chermiti under Derek McInnes.
The former Hearts manager has replaced Danny Rohl, who was recently announced as Red Bull Salzburg's new head coach after agreeing on a compensation fee to take him from the Gers.
With the former Kilmarnock boss reuniting with Lawrence Shankland at the Light Blues, he may have a plan in place to bring the best out of the Portuguese striker in the upcoming campaign.
Just like McInnes managed to bring the best out of Claudio Braga at Hearts, it wouldn't be surprising to see him do the same with Chermiti at Ibrox.
The 54-year-old head coach predominantly deployed the ex-Aalesunds centre-forward alongside Shankland, with the duo racking up a combined 30 league goals for the Jam Tarts, and the former Everton striker should be expected to have his best season in Govan under the new management.
Braga looked to play in behind the opposition defences and occupy spaces out wide, while the Scotland international was Hearts' focal point as they almost made history in the William Hill Premiership, and Chermiti may play a similar role next season.
Chermiti is attracting interest from around Europe after establishing himself as a big-game player at the Gers.
The 22-year-old always produced impressive performances against Hearts and Celtic during the 2025-26 campaign, becoming a non-disputed starter for Rohl.
Sources told Football Insider in April that Chermiti's sale at Ibrox will only be considered if they can make a "big profit" off of it.
Unless the Light Blues receive a significant sum for the Portugal Under-21 international's services, it doesn't look like they have any intentions of letting him leave.
McInnes has some big decisions to make at Rangers after being appointed, with the situation in the number nine position certainly needing to be addressed.
Danilo will return to Ibrox after his loan spell at NEC Nijmegen and it would be surprising to see him receive a lifeline from the Scottish manager at the Gers.
Bojan Miovski will also be looking to clarify his situation at the Glaswegian outfit after Shankland's arrival, with Chermiti and Ryan Naderi the other options up front.
