Achraf Hakimi set to rejoin PSG training before Arsenal showdown

Paris Saint Germain received a major boost ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final against Arsenal after Morocco international Achraf Hakimi moved closer to returning to full team training following a thigh injury.

French media reports said Hakimi was expected to rejoin collective training on Tuesday evening after completing several days of intensive individual work at PSG’s training center.

The Moroccan defender suffered the injury late in PSG’s Champions League semifinal first leg against Bayern Munich earlier this month, forcing him into a separate rehabilitation program away from the main squad.

Hakimi’s return would significantly strengthen coach Luis Enrique ahead of the final in Budapest, where PSG are chasing another European title against Arsenal F.C.

The 27 year old has been one of PSG’s most influential players this season, combining defensive solidity with attacking contributions during the club’s European campaign. He also remains central to Morocco’s plans ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

PSG are also monitoring the fitness of forward Ousmane Dembélé, who is likewise expected to return to training this week after a minor injury scare.

Luis Enrique is expected to travel to Hungary with a near full strength squad as PSG look to cap another dominant season in France with continental success.
