Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams believes striker Brayan Leon is like the legendary Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with his fighting spirit key to their success in the upcoming CAF Champions League final.

Leon's two goal in the semi-final, one in each leg, secured a spot for Sundowns in the final, where they will take on AS FAR, starting today at Loftus Stadium.

Despite the challenges Sundowns have faced recently Leon's form is encouraging for Sundowns and should give them reason to believe that they can get a comprehensive victory in the first leg to take to Morocco next weekend for their second meeting.

"Brayan is a fighter. He is like Ibrahimovic, like fight for every ball and press for everything. He will make a bad pass a good one and you know the qualities he has inside the box. It's incredible to add to our team," Adams told media at Chloorkop on Thursday.

Adams is hoping Sundowns can win the trophy for head coach Miguel Cardoso, who is going into his third consecutive Champions League final. He lost the previous two, one at Esperance and the other last season with Sundowns, but has an opportunity to finally get his hands on the trophy this time.

"As you know, the coach loves to win and he likes to keep the ball. This is his third final. He lost two, so probably we can win this one for him," Adams said.

To put themselves in a good position, Sundowns need to be lethal in front of goal and make sure that they keep it tight at the back.
