Agent Sets Record Straight On Magidigidi's Belgium Situation
Siviwe Magidigidi's representatives have dismissed reports that the South Africa U-20 striker went AWOL at Belgian club Beerschot, explaining the circumstances behind his stay in South Africa.
After reports emerged suggesting that South Africa U-20 international Siviwe Magidigidi had gone absent without leave from Belgian side K Beerschot VA, the player's representatives have moved to clarify the situation.
The talented forward joined the Belgian outfit from Siwelele FC earlier this year in a deal that marked a significant step in his career after impressing both at club level and with Amajita.

Recent reports indicated that the 20-year-old had failed to return to Belgium after travelling home to Mzansi, leading to speculation regarding his future at the club.
However, speaking to the Siya crew, Lorenz Sleeuwart of Lupus Sports dismissed claims that Magidigidi had gone AWOL, explaining that the youngster had been dealing with difficult family circumstances.
"It's not true," Sleeuwart told the Siya Crew. "He went back earlier because two family members died. His grandfather passed away after being sick and his cousin was murdered, so the club gave him time to attend the funerals."
Sleeuwart further revealed that administrative complications have also contributed to the delay in Magidigidi's return to Belgium.
"Then he forgot his Belgian ID card and we are waiting for a new one," he added.
The latest update comes after the Siya crew was informed that Beerschot had granted the player additional leave to deal with a family matter and that he is expected back at the club when preparations for the new season begin.
Magidigidi made seven appearances for Beerschot after completing his move in January and remains under contract with the Belgian club.

The striker is regarded as one of Mzansi's brightest young attacking prospects, having enhanced his reputation through his performances for Amajita and during his time with Siwelele before securing his move to Europe.
As things are, his representatives insist there is no dispute between the player and his club, with Magidigidi expected to return to Belgium once the necessary documentation has been sorted.
