
All Blacks rocked! Skipper Scott Barrett ruled out of Greatest Rivalry tour
Scott Barrett will miss the All Black tour of South Africa and July Nations Championship fixtures after being ruled out for up to five months with a back injury.
The All Blacks will have a new skipper for their Greatest Rivalry Tour to South Africa, with the news that lock Scott Barrett has been ruled out of action for up to five months.
Barrett will also miss New Zealand’s World Rugby Nations Championship fixtures in July.
Barrett will require surgery for a back injury.

Speaking to 1News in New Zealand, Rob Penney said that Barrett had tried other ways to treat the injury, but that eventually, surgery was the only option.
"He's tried every non-invasive trick you can do to get right, and it just hasn't come off, so he'll be in the operating theatre by the end of the week."
Who the All Blacks will select as their new captain remains to be seen, although Ardie Savea will surely be at the front of the line.
