Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has praised the appointment of Xabi Alonso as the new manager of Chelsea Football Club, calling him a perfect choice and the authoritative leader the club has needed for years.
Leboeuf in a chat with Tribal Football, stated that Alonso brings the tactical intelligence and aura that the Stamford Bridge dressing room has missed.

He expressed extreme happiness that the club secured a coach of his pedigree.
“Yes and yes, he’s a great player. He used to be a great player, and he knows football. What he did for Bayer Leverkusen was simply amazing because he had the control and the people in the board allowed him to do whatever he wanted.
“And he did it with cleverness and the guy is one of the smartest guys like Pep Guardiola as a coach. And if Chelsea wants to achieve something, they have to change their mind. They cannot be in the control of the pitch, but they can be in the control of the finances and everything going on in the office.
