There are concerns in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil camp that starman Neymar may not be available for the entirety of the World Cup group stage, as the former Barcelona and PSG forward is still not training with the team on the eve of their opener against Morocco.

Injury concerns continue to plague Neymar heading into his final World Cup campaign, as the 34-year-old has not been fit enough to feature for any more than two league matches in a row at club level this calendar year.

The icon of the Brazil national team was still called up by Ancelotti for the 2026 World Cup in North America, despite the fact that he was carrying a calf injury that he suffered with Santos.

However, according to updates from Sky Sport Italia, Neymar is still not back in training with the Brazil squad on the eve of their World Cup opener against 2022 semi-finalists Morocco, which will kick off at 23.00 BST on Saturday night.

This means that he is extremely unlikely to feature against Morocco on Saturday, and Sky suggests that Ancelotti may have to do without Neymar for the entirety of the group stage.

Brazil will take on Haiti in Philadelphia at 1.30 BST in the early hours of the morning on June 20, and then against Scotland at 23.00 BST on June 24.
