Joe Aribo has been linked with a sensational return to Scottish Premiership giants Rangers following his departure from Southampton, Completesports.com reports.
The Nigeria international recently became a free agent after his contract with Southampton expired, bringing an end to his four-year stay at St Mary’s.
Aribo joined the Saints from Rangers in a £10 million deal in 2022 after establishing himself as one of the Scottish club’s key players.
The 29-year-old struggled for regular playing time during his final season with Southampton and was loaned to Leicester City in January.
However, he found opportunities limited at the King Power Stadium, making just six appearances and starting only once.
Aribo enjoyed a successful three-year spell during his first stint with Rangers, helping the club win the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish Cup.
One of the standout moments of his Rangers career came in the 2022 UEFA Europa League final, where he scored in the heartbreaking defeat to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
