News reaching the Siya crew is that former Magesi FC coach John Maduka is in demand in the Betway Premiership, with two teams believed to be interested in his services for next season.

A source very close to the Malawian-born mentor has revealed to the Siya crew that Durban City and Marumo Gallants have both enquired about the former Bloemfontein Celtic and Royal AM FC coach for next season.

"For now, I can tell you there are two clubs which have shown interest in him. It's Durban City, which he once coached when it was still Maritzburg United and also Marumo Gallants. It looks like there is no decision made yet from the coach himself despite the interest from the two clubs," the source indicated.

The source further revealed that Durban City was interested in the coach when he left Magesi FC, but they didn't want to disrupt coach Simo Dladla.

"They were monitoring Simo (Dladla's) performance first, and you saw he did very well, but now Maduka is believed to be back on their radar. So, let's wait and see what will happen during this off-season and where the coach will end up," the source concluded.

This publication contacted Durban City Chairman Farook Kadodia, who briefly poured cold water on the issue.

"No sir. Not even a consideration for now," Kadodia brief told Soccer Laduma.

Meanwhile, the publication contacted Marumo Gallants, but there was no response at the time of publishing this story.
