Brendan Aaronson can begin to pack his bags as Leeds turn attention to signing big name with 'offers on the table' - view
Leeds United are reportedly targeting a stunning move for free agent Julian Brandt this summer.
Brandt, 30, will be a free agent this summer after leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season and is said to have "plenty of good offers on the table".
The German veteran spent seven years with the Bundesliga giants, making over 300 appearances and registering well over 100 direct goal contributions.
This season, Brandt scored 11 and provided five across all competitions, making him a hugely alluring prospective signing for Leeds.
The potential move may not be such good news for everyone at Elland Road, however.
Brenden Aaronson has just one year remaining on his contract at Leeds, and will need to make a final decision on his future this summer.

Aaronson is currently with the United States team at the World Cup, but talks are bound to take place upon his return.
The 25-year-old just enjoyed his best season in a Leeds shirt, netting four goals and providing five assists in the Premier League.
His profile is the one most at risk by Brandt's potential arrival, however. Aaronson spent most of the season playing at the head of the midfield, where the German specialises.

The New Jersey-born talent's benefit is that he also appeared on the right wing and is capable of appearing in several positions, but the development is a concern.
While Daniel Farke will be keen to add depth to his team, Brandt's arrival would, at least, result in the cutting of half of Aaronson's minutes - something he cannot afford at the age of 25.
And with Leeds facing a situation this summer in which they must tell the midfielder to sign a new contract or leave, those scales look to have tipped in one particular direction.
While Farke's ideal situation would undoubtedly see both Aaronson and Brandt at his disposal next season, his countryman is no downgrade.
Should Leeds pull it off, they will be signing an experienced, exceptional talent and a midfielder with genuine game-changing quality.

The 30-year-old ultimately only played 1607 Bundesliga minutes for Dortmund this season, but he managed a goal or an assist more than every other game (0.61 per 90 minutes).
With the Whites looking to build on this season's establishment back in the Premier League, the German is exactly the sort of signing they should be making. Even if it means the likes of Aaronson are sacrificed.
