Cristian Chivu has arrived at Inter’s headquarters for a new meeting regarding his contract extension and the club’s summer transfer strategies.
Inter coach Chivu is meeting club directors now, having arrived at the Nerazzurri’s headquarters in the early afternoon.
The two parties already met in mid-May after the Nerazzurri’s Scudetto and Coppa Italia victories.
As reported by several media outlets, including Sky Sport Italia, Chivu and Inter executives are discussing a contract extension for the coach and the club’s summer transfer strategies.
Inter are prepared to part ways with Denzel Dumfries, who is set to join Real Madrid in a €20m deal.
The designated replacement is Marco Palestra of Atalanta, but the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement for the 21-year-old.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter and Chivu are expected to agree on a new one-year contract, expiring in 2028, with an option for a further campaign.
