Premier League side Chelsea have announced their released list following the completion of the 2025-2026 season.
The reigning Fifa Club World Cup champions have confirmed that Richard Olise will depart Stamford Bridge when his contract expires on June 30, 2026.
Richard is the younger brother of Michael Olise, who received a Super Eagles invitation in 2021 before ultimately committing his international future to France.
The Bayern Munich star is expected to play a prominent role for Les Bleus at the upcoming World Cup.
The younger Olise brings an end to a decade-long association with Chelsea, having joined the club's academy at U9 level.
He progressed through every age group within the Blues' youth system and earned recognition during the 2024-25 campaign when he was included in the first team squad for a UEFA Conference League fixture against Astana.
However, opportunities proved limited in his final season at the club, with the right-back making just four starts in all competitions for Chelsea's development squad.
Olise is regarded as a calm and composed defender capable of contributing effectively at both ends of the pitch.
Comfortable in possession and tactically disciplined, he possesses many of the qualities associated with the modern-day fullback.
Born in London 21 years ago, Olise has represented England at U18 level and will now look to take the next step in his career following his departure from Chelsea.
