Departure reality up for Pirates midfielder
The transfer business that Orlando Pirates will conduct in the off-season will include the final decision-making on a midfielder returning from abroad.
Orlando Pirates have the ball in their court in coning with a conclusive decision on Karim Kimvuidi after the end of his loan in Israel.
Kimvuidi spent the season with FC Ashdod in the Israeli Ligat ha’Al (top-tier league), with whom he has suffered relegation.
The Congolese had a progressive season, scoring four and assisting twice through the 25 appearances that he made for Ashdod.
This website has been informed that the 24-year-old remains under contract at Pirates, and so will immediately revert to their books.
Beyond that, it has also been established that Kimvuidi is not keen on returning and prefers pursuing his career in the direction of Europe.
His loan move at the beginning of this season came after he expressed his desire to move.
The 2024/25 season was so bad for him that he didn’t get any minutes in as many as 37 matches and only played 90 minutes just once.
A price tag in the region of R7 million was then placed on his head after TP Mazembe and JS Kabyile made enquiries.

There will be engagements during the off-season, but what is certain is that Kimvuidi will put Pirates in the past.
