Sundowns beat Moroccan outfit AS FAR 2-1 on aggregate to clinch their second Champions League title in their history, ending years of misery of trying to win the competition.

To look at how they got the job done, here are some numbers that define their campaign.
0 - Sundowns did not concede a goal at home during the knockout phase of the competition this season. They kept clean sheets against Stade Malien, Esperance and AS FAR on home soil.
0 - Sundowns did not lose any matches at home this season. They lost two matches away from home, against Al Hilal and Stade Malien
5 - Striker Brayan Leon finished the competition as Sundowns' top scorer, despite only joining them in January. The Colombian forward netted five goals for the club, including the two in the semi-finals against Esperance.
7 - Since the start of the competition, Sundowns have played in seven different countries. They played in Nigeria against Remo Stars in the preliminary stages of the competition, before moving to the round robin phase where they played against Al Hilal in Rwanda, MC Alger in Algeria and St Eloi Lupopo in the DRC. During the knockout phase, they played Stade Malien in Mali, Esperance in Tunisia and AS FAR in Morocco.
7 - Sundowns kept seven clean sheets in the competition this season.

14 - Tashreeq Matthews and Teboho Mokoena are the only players in the Sundowns squad who played every single Champions League game this season, featuring 14 times. Matthews is, in fact, the only one in the Sundowns squad to play in all of their 50 matches this season.
23 - The Tshwane giants scored 23 goals in the 14 matches they played in this year's competition. Their biggest victory was the 5-1 win they registered over Remo Stars on home soil during the preliminary stage of the competition, which was away from home.
