Just a few days before their CAF Champions League final against AS FAR, Mamelodi Sundowns have some defensive concerns that need to be addressed in time to ensure they do not blow another shot at being African champions.
Going into this weekend's final, Sundowns have conceded 11 goals in their last three Betway Premiership matches, which is uncharacteristic of the Tshwane giants.

With a hectic schedule of seven matches played since booking their spot in the Champions League final on April 18, Sundowns have made errors at the back, and this will be a big concern going into arguably their biggest two games of the season.
With a few days left before the final, AS FAR would no doubt have taken note of this and will be looking to pile the pressure on the Sundowns defence to give themselves.
What's even more concerning for Sundowns is that defender Grant Kekana is suspended for the final, and Keanu Cupido's fitness is questionable after he sustained an injury in a Premiership clash against Kaizer Chiefs last week.
Khulumani Ndamane is struggling for form, and Cardoso admitted that the former TS Galaxy player is tired both physically and mentally, having gone through a hectic period since joining in January.

What should give Sundowns some hope is that they have done well defensively during the knockout phase of the Champions League. In the four matches they have played in the knockout phase, Sundowns have kept three clean sheets and conceded just two in the quarterfinal second leg clash against Stade Malien away from home.
