Ederson has paused negotiations with all other interested clubs to give Manchester United priority in their pursuit of the Atalanta midfielder.
Influencer Fabrizio Romano has reported, on X, that talks between the two clubs are now at an advanced stage.
United are waiting to give their final green light before proceeding to close the deal, suggesting the primary outstanding questions are internal rather than related to Atalanta’s willingness to sell.
