Italy have painfully missed out on the World Cup for the third time in a row, yet Serie A fans will still see many of their idols in the USA, Mexico and Canada this summer, with 66 players from Italy’s top flight called up.

The 2026 World Cup is just around the corner and, unfortunately, it will not see the Azzurri among the participating teams.

Italy faced elimination from the World Cup play-off Final in March, losing on penalties to Bosnia and Herzegovina and failing to qualify for the tournament for the third consecutive time.

However, several Serie A stars will participate in the competition, which runs from June 11 to July 19.

As reported by Gazzetta, Milan are the Serie A club with the most players participating in the 2026 World Cup (10), while Lazio, Lecce and newly-promoted Monza will have no representatives in the competition.
