Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has disclosed that Pep Guardiola stepped down as Manchester City manager because of the looming 115 Financial Fair Play (FFP) charges.
The 115 charges relate largely to a range of alleged financial rule breaches by City between 2009 and 2018. No ruling has come yet as fans wait impatiently to see what punishment could be handed out if they are found guilty.
However, in a chat with Stake, Evra believes the cloud over the club may have made Guardiola step down.

“Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki and the players are faithful to the club. I don’t see them leaving, to be honest. I feel like they know Enzo Maresca.
“The structure of the club is stronger than the manager. This is the case for City. But why is Guardiola leaving?
“The penalty (financial charges) is coming, all of that. Let’s see. Let’s see what’s going to happen. But if nothing happens, I don’t see the fall of City.”
