According to Hesport sources familiar with the matter, the Moroccan club is covering the medical expenses of the supporter, identified only as Amine, who remains hospitalized in critical condition following the incident during Sunday’s first leg of the CAF Champions League final.
The sources said Amine was scheduled to undergo surgery Monday after the operation was delayed a day because of a lack of available operating rooms at the hospital where he is receiving treatment.
Club officials are also expected to cover the costs of the surgery and continue monitoring his condition until he is fit to return to Morocco for further medical care.
