Eduardo Camavinga has set a number of Europe’s top clubs including Manchester United on alert as he is considering leaving Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old was not selected as part of the France squad for the World Cup after what has proved to be a frustrating season on and off the pitch at Los Blancos.
He is now considering his options as a result, with a growing feeling he could be allowed to leave if he is not content with his current role in the squad.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Camavinga would tick a number of boxes for Michael Carrick and could be an affordable target.
While he is not currently considered to be the top midfield target at Old Trafford, with multiple options on their radar, Man United could change their transfer plans.

Football Insider revealed in March that Man United will “seriously consider” signing Camavinga should they be made aware of his availability this summer.
Having been left out of the World Cup squad, his stance on leaving Madrid is now believed to have changed, with clubs poised to capitalise on the situation.
Camavinga has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in the Real Madrid team, but could be better suited for Man United, who have been long-term admirers.
“Man United have liked Camavinga for a while now,” Brown told Football Insider.
“They were looking at him when he was in France, but didn’t make a move because everybody at the time was aware he would end up at Real Madrid.
“Things haven’t quite worked out for him there and it’s difficult to see why, because there is undoubted talent and whenever I’ve seen him, I’ve been impressed.
“He’s now been left out of the France squad, and that could be a game changer for him, because he will need to be playing more regularly to prove himself.
“Man United will be on alert because of that, and if he becomes available as I expect he might, they could be tempted to make a move.
“There are other targets on their list who we’ve spoken about, people like Elliot Anderson, who they are more likely to go after immediately in my opinion.
“But if they can’t bring in their top targets, and Camavinga is a possibility at a good price, he could certainly be somebody they look to sign.”
Despite having held a long-term interest in Camavinga, Man United are far from the only club keeping an eye on his situation at Real Madrid this summer.
A number of clubs both in the Premier League and across Europe are believed to have been placed on alert by his potential availability.
Football Insider revealed on 20 May that Tottenham are interested in signing Camavinga, with Jose Mourinho believed to be key to any move in the upcoming window.
The former Spurs and Man United manager looks set to take over at Real Madrid and will assess his squad before deciding on any potential departures.
That could throw a spanner in the works for clubs’ ambitions, but there is a feeling he could be tempted to join the Premier League sooner rather than later.
